Claire and Hailey’s Favorite Songs to Scream to Because... Why Not?
Claire and I have certain songs that come up in our lives - songs we share emotional connections to. It doesn’t matter where we are - a grocery store, in the car in the middle of a deep conversation, hanging out with friends - we’ll stop and just start screaming these songs.
Maybe you have some songs you like to scream to? Maybe you want more songs to scream to? Anyways, we wanted to share this collection of songs, which are so near and dear to our hearts (and damaging to our vocal cords).
Clapping at the end of these songs is optional but encouraged.

This song isn’t necessarily good, but there’s something about this song that makes us want to scream… there’s something about misogyny…
Good Girls (Don’t Get Used) - Beach Bunny
This song just came out and quickly it became a screamer (a song you can scream to, hence releasing built up emotions or energy). This one hit too close to home for Claire.
Never Thought - Mel Bryant & the Mercy Makers
I have never felt such strong feelings about a song. It captures all my thoughts and feelings in one song.
Love It If We Made It - The 1975
Who doesn’t love screaming about how fucked up this world is - plus it’s Claire’s karaoke song.
Nothing will ever beat screaming this song at the top of our lungs, back stepping it in Chicago the night before we flew out to LA to see Harry Styles.
This is my therapy song and Claire is really supportive of that - plus she got me into it.
I found this song on accident but literally sums up what I wanted to do all summer long. Also, it makes us think of the boys we want to date, but won’t date us, so we just became them.
Boys suck. What more do I have to say?
This song takes us back to being on the floor of the Forum in LA, waiting for Harry Styles - a once-in-a-lifetime night.
Always Alright - Alabama Shakes
I really related to the line, “Well, pass me the whiskey, pass me the gin, Pass me whatever there's drink left in.”
Hate That You Know Me - Bleachers
We couldn’t decide what Bleachers song to add, but this one has been our recent screamer. There’s something therapeutic about screaming, “You know what, I hate it,” over and over.
Claire and I bonded over the fact that we would both listen to this song in high school, and no one else knew it. We would have probably been friends if we went to the same school back then.
A sexual 1D song with choreography made up by James Cordon? Yes please.
A sad screamer, but a screamer nonetheless.
Have you ever seen this song live? That should be a life requirement.
I hate the protagonist of this song, but there’s something about it all thrown together which warrants screaming.
This song got us through a lot of shit this year. We owe so much to Remi Wolf.
So much so, we added this song as well. It’s also an absolute bop.
*BONUS SONG
We sing this song to each other every night before bed…
